A partnership announcement press release is a news release that tells the market two companies are working together. It uses a standard news layout, names both companies in the headline, and carries a quote from each side. Get both partners to approve the facts and quotes before anything is submitted. The sections below cover the template, the examples, what distribution costs, how the process runs, and what distribution can and cannot do.

What is a press announcement?
A press announcement is a news release that tells journalists, customers and partners about something that has happened. Channel V Media’s collection of examples describes a company news release as one that “allows your company to announce significant milestones and gain media attention.” A partnership is one of the common types, alongside funding rounds, new hires and product launches.
Two related formats do different jobs. A press statement is a tight, attributable reaction to news. A media advisory is “an invitation, not an announcement,” used to get reporters to an event. For a partnership, you want the full release.
Partnership announcement press release template
Tuatupr offers a free partnership template as an editable Word (.docx) file. Its main point is that a joint announcement needs both voices: “A partnership release with only one company’s perspective reads like a one-sided press push.” Its parts are:
- A headline naming both parties and the shared goal
- A founder quote on what the partnership unlocks
- A section on what the partnership brings: capabilities, reach and customer impact
- A quote from the partner, in its own voice
- An “about the partners” section with both boilerplates
- A media contact block
If you need a PDF, export it from the approved Word file so the two versions match.
Press release format: the parts in order
Channel V Media’s universal template follows AP style, which it notes prefers the term “news release.” For the general format, see our press release template guide. For a partnership, each part of the standard layout carries both companies.
| Part | What it does in a partnership release |
|---|---|
| Headline | Names both companies and the shared goal, under 100 characters, with no jargon |
| Subheadline | One sentence that expands the headline with the key benefit or a stat |
| Dateline and lead | City, state and date, then the news in one sentence: what is happening, who it affects and why it matters now |
| Supporting paragraph | Deal terms, dates and the answers a journalist would ask first |
| Quotes | One from each company, in its own voice |
| Boilerplate | A short “about” paragraph for each partner |
| Media contact | Name, email and phone |
A skeleton you can adapt:
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
[Company A] and [Company B] Announce Partnership to [Shared Goal]
[Subheadline: one sentence on the key benefit]
[CITY, State] — [Month Day, Year] — [Company A], [one-line descriptor], and [Company B], [one-line descriptor], today announced [the partnership in one sentence].
[Paragraph 2: what each company brings, terms, dates]
“[Quote from Company A’s leader],” said [Name], [Title] at [Company A].
“[Quote from Company B’s leader],” said [Name], [Title] at [Company B].
About [Company A]: [boilerplate]
About [Company B]: [boilerplate]
Media Contact: [Name] | [Email] | [Phone]
What do partnership announcement press release examples look like?
Channel V Media’s examples page includes a partnership release from Bold Commerce about its work with PayPal. The page notes that the release highlights a line about the collaboration: “the collaboration sets the stage for the largest global cross-merchant network effect for e-commerce.” It also says the release “clearly explains what Bold Commerce does and the customers it serves.” The page reports coverage from American Banker and PYMNTS.
Under its new client section, the same page includes a release from L’Oréal and BreezoMeter announcing a “multi-year partnership.” The page reports coverage from Beauty Matter and Women’s Wear Daily.
Partnership announcements also appear in academic publishing. A 2021 item titled WormAtlas partnership announcement on PubMed is indexed by the U.S. National Library of Medicine. Its abstract says the authors “will partner with the Journal of Nematology to write and solicit anatomically focused review chapters.” If you are writing one for a class, the same parts apply.
How much does a partnership press release cost?
Prices as of September 23, 2026; check the checkout for today’s. These are one-time distribution routes for one eligible announcement. Release production is optional.
| Route | Distribution only | With our release production | What our pricing page says it suits |
|---|---|---|---|
| Signature News (ACCESS Newswire and Newswire) | $495 | $890 | First announcement, company milestone, local business news, product launch |
| Global Authority (GlobeNewswire U.S.) | $995 | $1,390 | Company news needing broad financial syndication, investor-facing announcements |
| Complete Market (both routes, coordinated) | $1,295 | $1,690 | Major announcement, partnership, acquisition or funding round |
General-business release production starts at $395. It includes a keyword and search-intent brief, structured intake, a 500–700 word release, a headline, a subhead and a company boilerplate. Our pricing page says there is no subscription, no retainer and no required sales call, and that qualification comes before payment. For a partnership that needs both routes, Complete Market is the option to compare.
We sell these services. Publisher and outlet names identify fulfillment or network destinations and do not imply editorial endorsement. Our Rare Find Advertorial, from $1,495, is a separate, labeled paid article and is not a news release. Ask us for a written quote for your specific announcement before you pay.
How does the process work?
- Submit your announcement. We run a free eligibility review and confirm your news qualifies before you pay anything.
- Choose your release path. Bring publisher-ready copy, or add search-led release production for $395.
- Distribution. The release is submitted through ACCESS Newswire or GlobeNewswire, and the publisher reviews and accepts it.
- Documentation. You receive live URLs, a publication record and available analytics.
Our service terms say timing begins only after payment is verified, intake is complete, eligibility is cleared and every required source and permission is received. Requested dates are targets until we confirm the route and production window in writing. Before you choose a date, see our notes on press release timing.
What makes a partnership release eligible?
Our service terms say a standard release must be a factual company announcement, not an advertisement. Before submission, check that:
- The headline states a real, timely news event, and the company behind it is named near the top.
- The release has a valid media-contact email. Some routes may also ask for a contact name, phone number, executive authorization or supporting documents.
- The copy is objective and news-style. Sales language outside an approved quotation, inflated claims, exclamation marks and all-caps emphasis all cause problems.
- Facts, numbers, quotations, rights and links are accurate, supportable, authorized and current, and the release has not already been published as the same release.
The terms say the customer controls “truthful facts, authorization, sources, quote approval, media rights.” In a partnership, that means the partner must approve its quote, its name and its boilerplate before you submit. For how to record those approvals, see what a press release approval workflow should record. ACCESS editors make the final decision on content, so review the current ACCESS Newswire content guidelines before you supply final copy, since they can change.
What can distribution actually do for partnership news?
Distribution gets your release to a publisher and documents what happens. Our terms say we control search planning, release production when purchased, formatting, route preparation, submission, revisions and the publication record. Publishers and platforms control acceptance, labels, presentation, pickup, indexing, rankings and audience response.
Our service terms list these as not guaranteed by anyone:
- Which downstream sites pick up the story
- Search rankings or indexing positions
- Backlinks from third-party publications
- Traffic, leads or sales from the release
- Journalist coverage
Globe’s U.S. network lists Yahoo Finance among its destinations, but no particular pickup is guaranteed. Our pricing page says neither price guarantees a ranking, a particular outlet pickup, leads or sales.
On search, Google’s spam policies state that paid links passing ranking credit can violate those policies, so we do not sell ranking credit. Google’s spam policies set that line. Google’s guidance on helpful content recommends “helpful, reliable, people-first content,” which is the standard we write to. Channel V Media’s examples page notes that wire services mark their links as nofollow, so a press release “rarely passes link equity directly.”
Your publication record includes the accepted release, the primary URL or URLs, the completion date, and available pickup links and route analytics. For what a report can and cannot show, see press release distribution report actually prove. One GlobeNewswire campaign reported 7,956 views and 203 clicks over five days, as shown in this analytics report for one campaign. That is one campaign in one window, not an average, a minimum or a forecast.
What happens if the release is not accepted or the URL is removed?
Our press release service terms and refund policy set these outcomes:
| Situation | What the terms say |
|---|---|
| We produced the release and the publisher does not accept it on the purchased route | We make reasonable compliant editorial corrections and resubmit without another production charge. If we still cannot get acceptance on that route, we refund the complete production-and-distribution amount paid. |
| Your own copy is declined | You may revise and resubmit within the active project window, or request a full refund of the distribution charge. |
| The release is accepted and published | The distribution charge is not refundable, because the service has been performed. |
| We have not submitted yet | Any unearned distribution amount is returned. Completed release production may remain chargeable in proportion to the agreed scope. |
| Problems on your side | Protection does not cover false or incomplete intake, missing authorization, unsupported facts, changing the announcement after work begins, or failing to approve or respond. |
| Primary publisher URL removed within 12 months | We resubmit the accepted release once through the same or a comparable eligible route at no added distribution-management charge. You must notify us within the 12 months and provide the original order or publication reference. It does not cover lost rankings, indexing changes or removal of third-party pickups. |
Can I send a partnership release myself?
Yes. Our do-it-yourself guide says you do not need an agency to send your own announcement, but you do need a real news event, approved facts, a relevant destination and a way to tell what happened afterward. Finish and approve one release, publish a page on your own site that explains the event, choose routes by audience, and pitch reporters one at a time when the story fits their beat. A newswire submission is not a personal pitch to a reporter.
If the work is worth more of your time than the budget, we manage the search plan, eligibility, preparation, publisher communication and proof.
